Gaijin Women Married to or Divorced From Japanese

Some interesting anecdotes and some not so interesting

There were times when I did not get along very well with my father-in-law. He has a negative outlook and even blamed me for the fact that his son wouldn't go out and get a job when we moved back to Japan after our daughter was born. Apparently in his eyes, my having a job and earning a decent salary somehow emasculated his son. At least that was the story I was made to endure one night when otousan (Dad) had a few drinks. He liked to drink and lecture me and I felt it was my duty to sit and listen, even though my husband and even my mother-in-law would leave the room and leave me there with him!

Great site! I really enjoyed hearing about the gaijin gals views, which are all too frequently not heard. Really loved this passage....

I was the only one to think about putting embarrassment aside and calling police and notifying the shops around him for them to call security. It took three attempts for any of the stores to call security for me! I told them what was going on right outside, and everyone just smiled awkwardly and said "that's strange" and continued doing everything as per usual. My mommy instincts just kicked in, as we were right next door to TOYS 'R US. The mall was packed with small children, some of whom saw the man and were visibly disturbed by him. What did their parents do? Nothing. Just ignored it and kept walking!

Damned gaijin, always intent on disturbing the wa.

When I think of gaijin divorcées, I think of Caiya aka Carolyn Kawasaki

Quite similar to some of the goings on at an small old internet cafe I used to go to ages ago, before I had internet at home. I pointed out to the staff that this J guy was wanking to anime kidddy porn in full view of everyone (no booths at this place). I had to get several of the other gaijin regulars to complain before they banned him.

Good on you mate. There is protocol to be observed. Was it a left handed, or right handed wank?
