A car collided with a light truck in Kanagawa prefecture in the early hours of Tuesday morning. It transpired that the car was driven by a seventeen year old youth and he was carrying seven passengers. Aside from the driver, there were two in the front passenger seat, four in the back and one who had obviously drawn the short straw and was travelling in the boot. Somewhat surprisingly, only two of them were seriously hurt, the others escaped with minor injuries. The truck driver was also seriously injured. The young driver was found to have no licence and he reportedly said he bought the car for 10,000 yen.
