How do you parse HTML in Java?

Postby mikedevidson » Wed Jan 06, 2010 4:49 pm

How should you decide which HTML parser to use? And, not the proliferation of HTML parser out there means that there is something wrong with the JDK HTML parser, javax.swing.text.html.HTMLEditorKit.Parser?

I haven't found anything great out there, but I haven't looked in a while. I don't think that parser you're looking at is designed for use outside of swing.

What HTML are you trying specifically parse?

Have you tried looking at StackOverflow.com? You'd probably have a better response asking your question there.

Well, you could draw straws, or maybe get some friends together and do some rounds of junken.
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
