I don't think FGL disputes any of that. It does seem pretty clear, however, that he can't replicate the ease of use he has with Windows. It's not that he wants OS X to be identical to Windows. Rather, since he appears to use keyboard shortcuts more extensively than a casual user, it sounds like he wanted OS X to have an easy learning curve rather than having to invest considerable time and still not get what he wanted.

Any good links on building my own? I guess I could Google but I hate to find crappy links.

Exactly! I just want a system based on a certain degree of logic so it doesn't need to be "learned" by rote memorization.

But Apple has lots of short-cuts, and I can make macros!@!!@111

Good point and I agree. I also agree with an earlier comment that it seems that Mac users seem more inclined to use the mouse than PC users. I have never understood leaving the keyboard to use the mouse vs. using a split second 2 or even 3 stroke keyboard shortcut. Especially simple, logical commands such as copy, paste, print, save, etc.. I cringe every time my wife grabs the mouse for these commands; she refuses to use keyboard shortcuts. Oh well, each to her or his own.

Well, in my defense, I generally only have one free-hand available while using the computer.
