Teaching engrish for 129yen per lesson

Postby Marked Trail » Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:30 pm

I just clicked on a google ad for "rarejob.com" who are offering engrish lessons given by hot Filipinas attending 'elite' universities:
"One-on-one lessons for 129yen per 25 minute lesson at your home anytime during a day until midnight weekdays and weekends."
Alternatively, they are offering unlimited engrish lessons for only 5,000yen/month .

Looks dodgy. And the fact that it's "from" 129... I'm sure there's lots of "hidden" cost.
I broke a mirror this morning, which means I should be getting 7 years of bad luck - but my lawyer says he can get me 5.

I would hope it's dodgy and the hidden costs were some sort of happy finish with the Filipina coeds teaching.:love2:

At first I thought that wouldn't even cover the cost of their train fare, but then I examined the pic more closely and realized that these are engrish lessons via telephone ... so you don't actually know what's on the other end of the line. It's probably one of those lines where you get charged by the minute in addition to your 129 yen lesson fee.

No, there's an embedded video in the site where it shows that they use Skype with video conference so it does not cost you any.
