Help: mailing from computer to cell phone

Postby Ikemen-of-d00m » Wed Jan 27, 2010 3:44 am

Is there a way to send mails from my computer in Norway, to a cell phone Japan?

My noob-mail can easilly receive mails sent from a Japanese cell, but it seems like the receiver won't be able to read my replies.

I've just tried gmail, so it might work. But it's night in Japan now, so I won't know if it works until tomorrow. So, if there are any FGs online who can help me, I would be really grateful!

for example, if a person uses DoCoMo phone and his email address is suzuki.taro@docomo.ne.jp,
send email to suzuki.taro@docomo.ne.jp.
nothing special. Note however that what ever carrier might have certain domains blocked to minimize spam

This works for me. I can also send text messages from my Tmobile phone in the US to mobile phone in Japan if they have an email address.

Was the other person not receiving your messages at all or just receiving blank messages? If it was blanks, the person might have a phone (probably an older model) that doesn't have the right software to display whatever format your email was in. I was not able to read Hotmails on one of my older phones.
