[/floatr]The Asahi reports (Japanese) that a 70 year old man has died after being choked by a massage machine made by Fuji Ryoki. The man was wearing a scarf which somehow caught in the Handy Massager GM-2 and he was unable to free himself. The cloth cover of the unit was not in place - the manufacturer advises that it should not be used in such circumstances - and it seems that the scarf became entangled in the exposed parts.

Wearing a scarf and the cloth cover is removed? So he was wearing the scarf because the cloth cover was not there since he did not want the moving parts touching his skin. Its still a pretty sad and fucked up way to die. Last thing I want on my obituary is "killed by household appliance."
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

The woman had removed the cover of Matoba Electric company's 'Albi Shape-up Roller,' while trying to massage her neck.
The maker was aware of 3 similar deaths in 2008, and has strongly advised consumers not to remove the cover before use.
