You realize that most are dead already? A little too late on their part.

They should use Japanese actor Joe Odagiri to promote their efforts. I understand he attended Cal State Fresno where he studied Theater and Arts.

This might be a good place for them to start...while the records aren't online, if folks collected the federal 'umm, sorry for whole internment camp thing' payment in late 1980's or 1990's, there will be a record of it.

I'm with Tommy...Hello, it was 70 years ago, folks. While there may be some sentimental value in offering the degrees to the survivors, they're all going to be pushing around 90 now, so I don't think it's going to do much for them in terms of career prospects.
This smacks of being a politically correct PR stunt.
However, having experienced first-hand the glacial pace at which universities move, there is a part of me that concedes Cal State Fresno has acted quickly to address the issue.

That was 69 years ago! Adding 18 to 22 years for the students to that number is not going to leave a lot of spring chickens around....

I think that was their true intention. This is more of a good Samaritan PR stunt to "diversify" the Asian student population:

I think there were many attempts to reverse the affirmative action but I don't know what the latest status is. Probably hasn't changed based on California leaning as a leftist state.

Cigah night.. is that still happening?

Given the crap ranking of that school and the presence of other much more highly regarded universities within the state of California, both public and private...I doubt this can be considered a serious play for more Asian students.
If so, it is dead on arrival.
