whats it like working for one of the big 3?

Postby kotatsuneko » Tue Aug 05, 2003 2:20 pm

i really have to get a full time job, and was wondering if anyone could share some experiences / advice on working for one of the big 3 language schools, just how bad can it get?

really, im interested in what is expected of you, do you teach or is it more like practicing conversation? do the schools provide all the materials and you work as a parrot or is it more than that? do you work alone or with a japanese teacher etc..

until we have some money saved, i think this has to be the route i go down even tho its not what i really want to do..

the wife said i should maybe attend a one month teaching course back in the uk, i dont mind doing this, but really dont want to spend more than 5 years "teaching"..

anyhow, could someone give me an idea just how good or bad it can be? sugar on top ^^
