Tokyo high school district?

Postby Gaijin0000 » Tue Mar 30, 2010 9:57 pm

Hi, I recall someone once telling me the name of a particular neighborhood in Tokyo proper where there is an especially high concentration of high schools. Claims to have the most number of schools in its district. It was off of a train line, though I can't remember any of the names.

Does anyone here know the location I am speaking of?

here is a list; anyone can help?

Here is a list (in English and Japanese) by ward of public high schools in Tokyo.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Metropolitan_Government_Board_of_Education

http://www.kyoiku.metro.tokyo.jp/link-2.html

Though some wards have significantly more schools than others, does anyone know which ward is considered "the" high school ward?

Thank you.

I know it's not exactly what you are asking or talking about, but I think high schools in Japan basically don't have school districts. High school education in Japan is optional and people can basically attend no matter where they live.
Tokyo might have metropolitan high schools that do have districts, though.
