Heaps of places sell it. We eat it all the time in my house. It is a fantastic grain and is the only one that is a complete protein.

Not sure where you are located but try:
Seijo Iishi (lots around town)
Kinokuniya
Natural House (Omote sando)
Kaldi Coffee Farm

Plus I would try a good depachika say in Shinjuku like Halc and Tokyu Hands.

yeah, read a lot about it, seems overall a very healthy thing to eat. i'm doing an anti-candida diet, and while my system has recovered enough that i can handle genmai, i think using quinoa would be better for me. as difficult as it's been, it's also been very educational. i'm trying to get my family to eat better too but it's been a tough sell.

recently found more stuff on this diet i can eat so i've found a new appreciation for satsumaimo! finally starting to put a bit of weight back on, as i was borderline underweight.

i'll see if any of these places have a presence in the chugoku area, with hiroshima being my best bet, i guess, if there's nothing in matsue.

edit: or get a catalog and order.

thanks so much!

There used to be piles of Brazilian grocers in the MAG area (Mie, Aichi, Gifu). The closest one I saw to your location (not really all that close) was in Tsu City, Mie.

The FBC might be one source, but probably not easy on the pocketbook...

See a bit here as well: http://www.kenko.com/product/item/itm_7521371072.html

OK - well try Kaldi Coffee farms home delivery service
http://www.kaldi.co.jp/

Also try Tengu Natural Foods home delivery service.
Quinoa Search

420yen for 200 grams.

Quinoa does go a long way.

Be careful of the Tengu site - it has so many fantastic things that you want to buy everything on it.

Home delivery is your friend.

If you eat meat, then I can't rave highly enough about the Meat Guy delivery service.
http://www.themeatguy.jp The prices are fantastic and the quality is brilliant.

Great for tortillas, cheeses and dry goods as well as meat. He makes his own ground beef and sausages too.
