Google was down last night for me too. Many people ontwitterare bitching the great googly gods haven't explained why youtube and google are "offline." But whothefuckque cares, Bing ain't all that bad.


Speaking of missteps of Goggle, check out the cultural mismatch that Google.co.jp is running today in Japan for Kodomo-no-hi/Children's Day.
Since there is no school today, doubt that even pasty gaijin kids in Japan are running out of their house early on national holiday morning.

Went to a nearby kouen to test a setup on a rc car (*) and... there was not even a stray cat to talk to me...

(* glorious day: on compact earth I have nearly no steering as the front wheel spend their time in mid air, the engine seems way to powerful for the drivetrain any acceleration on rougher terrain end in a backflip... wonderfull never before I managed to tune a car to so perfectly ruin all handling characteristics that were average at worst before)

(I also sort of like bling... feel less unpolished than google... and I trust more microsoft to be totally worthless at spying consistently on user behaviour than google)
