What do you think is the best thing for a guy to do in Japan if he's falsely accused of groping someone on the train: try to get the fuck out of there ASAP or turn the tables on the accuser by calmly calling a station worker or cop and telling his side of the story?

Never happened to me but I would imagine calling her out on being a "sagi" off the bat would be the best bet. Maybe loudly (but calmly) lecture her that trying to make quick cash by preying on unsuspecting men is fraud. Unless you're Asian, chances are she assumes you don't speak Japanese. Showing that you do and calling her out immediately will likely deter her from anything further. If you got the time and balls, take out your phone and start taking her video....tell her you'll be taking it to the nearest Koban on the next stop. Ask her name and ask her why she is committing chikan fraud. Maybe mention you're going to throw it up on Youtube so there will be public video of her attempting to defraud someone. Take charge calmly and firmly, put her in her place.

The worst thing you could do is run. You might get away but what if someone gets your picture? What if they catch you then or later on? You may have not groped her but you look guilty as fuck

This case is now in front of the Tokyo District Court. The mother is claiming 10 million yen in compensation over what she believes was an illegal search and illegal detention. Police are contesting her claim.
