Best marriage advice I ever got and therefore the best advice I could give is to not ignore the parts in red;
for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health.

You're projecting your obsession and inability to distinguish an ugly Asian chick from a hot one onto everyone else. Most non-Asian American dudes are either indifferent about or not interested in Asian chicks. And the frumpy Japanese chicks that make up about 99% of the Japanese international student and expat community in Seattle definitely aren't getting much attention.

Guess I got lucky. I married my first girlfriend 10 years ago, never been with another woman before or since and never will.

Famous last words.
(Especially since you'd "never been with another woman before.")

On the other hand, good on you!

I'm 35 years old, and I'm just not up for those kind of shenanigans. All I'm trying to do is live a good, clean life, which probably means I'll be pushing up flowers pretty soon.

Sounds like you've already given up on living.
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

WTF? 35? Fuck, we are almost the same age. If I go more than a month without the pass out on the street all nighter I feel like I'm slacking. Good, clean life here? What's the point?

Holy crap! Go directly to the hospital and get a hormone refill!
You are way too young to be getting old!

Just for your reference, my most ... ahem ... "active" period started when I was around 40. More shenanigans in the ten years that followed than in the 40 years that led up to that point.

That was enough though. Now that I've got that out of my system I'm free to concentrate on other pursuits, finally.

Life: it ain't over 'till it's over.

The point is I dont want to be pickled by the time I'm 55 like my old man was (and dead). My Grandpa never abused his body and he's still going at 90, 100% mentally and physically.

The last time I took any alcohol was when I was 21 where I had 1/2 a can of beer. Can say I didnt think much of it. I think I was tipsy one time before that - didnt do much for me either. Although I've never been drunk, so that may be a different experience I guess.

Whoa! Don't want to be swinging from one extreme to another!
The key is moderation. Don't abstain, don't overdo it, just keep things in perspective.
Of course I didn't figure that out until I was around 50. :biggrin2:

I am only 21 years old, so I should probably shut the hell up, but:

I'm impressed! I was "anti-alcohol" untill I turned 18 and was forced to drink my first beer. Why so late? Because I was a stubborn brat.. I was prepared to spit it out and tell my friends: "Hah! It tastes like shit! I'll never drink again!"... But, unlike most other teenagers, I actually loved the taste of beer, even the first time I tasted it. And since I can't lie, I was soon introduced to parties and my second love in the alcohol world: whisky

Now it feels impossible to have a good time with other people unless alcohol, sports or sex is involved... Occasionally a good movie might do the trick :P

Sounds about right to me although I'm not sure where sports and movies would help......

Of course taking care of your body increases your chances of living longer but I meet plenty of old drunks in Japan who are still going strong. Once thing I've noticed though is that the guys that are old (75+) and drink hard don't do cocktails or beer. It's shochu or whiskey.

Personally, I'd rather enjoy my life and die young than live 90 or more healthy boring years. And trust me, I'm well on my way to kicking off at an early age.

That's cool bro, I aint ever been one to preach to no-one. We all make decisions and live with them. Every man for himself, just as long as you aint hurting other people.
