I think this rain season might suck...

Judging by the upgraded gear for the fire departement...

Before, at the start of every rainfall they were just dispatching watchers on the bridges to alert for the floods...

Now... they also start patrolling in Unimogs...

I sort of don't feel that much safer...

Going to store me some noodles and some paper towels...

What do you call that add-on you've got on the wing mirror?

It's a side parking mirror / anti blind corner combo. That I bought in a regular supermarket while in Seoul...

My regular side mirrors have an auto-down when backing function. But it's awfully dangerous as you don't see people behind you, and the cancel / mode switch was... under the steering wheel behing the wheel height adjustment lever.

I use a convexes mirror against blind angle (1 on the external right mirror for the right blind spot and one on the internal center-back view mirror against the left blind spot, having them part of the normal mirror f.o.v. allow to only glance at the convexes mirror to check for cars in the blind spot without having to check said convexes mirrors separately).

So I setup the white add ons to give me a full down view and back wheels view. The first one allow me to see my clearance on the local -more-than-tight- streets, while the last one is just used for backing in conjunction with a self adhering fresnell lense on the back window. (as well as 2 corner-side looking mirrors -factory option for the Nissan Wingroad-)

It's excessive... but I prefer looking like a doofus rather than taking chances... Especially in a country where small kids run wild in every parkings and are barely as high as a standing poodle...

You're denying Darwin!
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Unimog...wow that's a word I haven't heard in years. Funny how a forgotten name/word can bring back so many memories...

Certainly looks looks like they are ready for a few problems.

Just noticed that thing got a snorkel reaching around 3 meters of the ground...

Definately not reassuring...

As bad as it could be, the alternative of a failed rainy season is much, much worse.

The small ones are better. They're easier to clean out of the tire tread than the big ones with school books.....

But the little boney ones are damn near impossible to cleanout of the front grill.

And puncture tires...

(Side note, Am I the only one who when stopping in the middle of a road to let a cat cross have the cat stop in the middle, look down at me and the proceed upnosed with smugness painted all over his face ? I thought they were supposed to run to the other side like in every other country, not playing a game of who will waive first...)
