Here's another news story which will probably start more discussion about the state of the nation's youth. SEGA will shortly open a new game centre in Yoyogi and gathered a group of part-timers together for customer service training on the premises. The induction ran from 10:00am to around 11:30am and, in the last part, the trainees were asked to practice calling out standard hearty greetings and thank yous like "irasshaimase" and "arigato gozaimashita". Six girls immediately felt ill and showed signs of hyperpnea. They were advised to lie down but their condition worsened and several ambulances had to be called to the scene.

Hum... that's quite a non sequitur... Seems the subject is as related to youth as it is related to the use of G12(*) coolant in non approved vehicules...

Meanwhile... it could describe pretty well the theory stating that cleaning up the deck chairs on the Titanic is a lost battle... Japan is enjoying its last decades of sadomasochistic traditions before everyone left the boat... Just hope there is enough emergency rafts for everybody...

Well, I didn't say the incident ought to be seen as an indictment of youth, I just suggested it might be. While it's certainly not a representative sample, I based that on the fact that the first middle-aged guy I showed the story to said "Young people today..."
