I have a bunch of eco points too. Not sure what to do with it. The thought of going through what you went through is enough to make my head spin.

It is all too hot to do stuff like this.

Sounds like you made less than minimum wage for your effort. Probably not worth it.

Well, it did not quite take the 35 hours that minimum wage would imply. But definitely I would have made better money if I spent the same time servicing my clients at the host club.

(honestly it probably took a total of about 2 hours of my time. Way too much. )

We do this in our house. It ends up being our holiday beer funds. :kanpai:

It really adds up if you are diligent with it and you don't miss the cash. By adding up, I think I have banked close to 2m yen over the years just by saving all my 500 yen coins. That is nothing to sneeze at. :ninja4: :ninja4:

That's not too bad for two hours of work. As long as you do use it for beer money as GG suggest, it will have all been worthwhile.

When I bought my eco stuff (fridge, and TV) I was given a form to fill out and mail in. I filled out the form and chose "gift card". About three weeks later I got a bunch of sen en JCB gift cards. Everywhere takes JCB so with a bit pressure you can get anyone to take them.

Got my Eco points converted into HIS gift coupons, so next trip's gas surcharge is about 1/3 paid:mad:. Also got a bunch of 1000 yen VISA gift couponds that I won at my company's 25th anniversary party a few years ago. Almost no one takes those, except for the major department stores and Seiyu (no Seiyu within a toss of a dead noraneko near me). Might as well just dump it all on HIS and get that surcharge down to 50%..

Semi-related question regarding the Tpoint card, ANA mileage and ANA credit cards.
I've been looking on the ANA site and one of their mileage partners is SMBC (credit), while another is Eneos (petrol station). If I read correctly, and I'm not sure I have, if I buy my petrol at Eneos with an ANA credit card I get points (miles) from ANA as well as points from the credit card company (SMBC) and T-points thru Eneos ,which can both be converted to ANA mileage, effectively triple dipping. Anyone doing this, or am I missing something important?
