Robots!

Postby halfnhalf71 » Mon Aug 09, 2010 7:51 pm

Hi all
My gf and I will be visiting Japan for a few weeks (mostly Tokyo) and down Shizuoka way to ohaka mairi for the grandparents. No idea why but the gf loves robots and wants to see them. Not the little toy ones but proper asimo type ones. She's never been to Japan before and even though i lived there for a few years, I have absolutely no idea where to take her. I've thought the museum of emerging science and innovation might be a good start, I also heard that the tokyo university of science receptionist is a humanoid robot that you can make angry (not sure how the staff will like that). Any other ideas would be appreciated!
Cheers

Suggest you look into

TEPIA tour

TEPIA site

re: Advanced Technology Exhibition Hall

If this is what you meant by "museum of emerging science and innovation" then sorry for the redundancy.

Btw, your GF sounds very cool if she's interested in robots.
Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

The real question is what does a girl who is into robots look like?

Didn't they have a giant Gundam in front of Higashi-Shizuoka station? Not exactly a robot, but it kind of looks like one.
