Ever hear about Kyoko Einstein?

I was stumbling through Slashdot-Japan and found an odd story from the Chunichi News. The report was about Einstein meeting a 04-year-old Japanese girl on a visit to Japan in 1922 and declaring his love for her and that: "I want to 'adopt'." This adoption demand "caused a sensation" at the time according to the Chunichi, which alluded to a creepy subtext to it all...
