Japanese legal links?

Postby kamome » Fri Aug 15, 2003 5:29 pm

Can anyone suggest some links to sites that have English translations of Japanese laws and other Japanese legal information? I already have the obvious sites like the various Japanese ministries. Some lesser-known helpful links would be appreciated.

He's a real "character" but Arudou Debito/Dave Aldwinckle's Home Page covers cranky legal topics such as . . .

Thanks for those links, Taro. It also would be nice to have links to "official" or "professional" websites run by organizations or public entities. Do you know of any?

Other than the Intellectual Property website, I do not know of any official government site that has the entire civil code online. The professor who taught Japanese legal systems advised us to just buy the civil code book since it's pretty small and cheap.

As for unofficial sites, the professor at this school is pretty famous for his knowledge of Japanese laws.

Grrrrreat link!
From that link's list, Mizuho's site seems to best bet for biz law, tax code, etc. for kamome's purposes.

Yeah, I've got the Mizuho website. It's a pretty good one.
