I have been using Yuzusco sauce for about 2 years now. It is produced in Yanagawa prefecture, If I'm not mistaken. I use it on pizza, pasta, miso soup, chicken etc. great for adding or enhancing. Can't live without it! It has replaced my "Ranch dressing" fetish (since I can't get it in Japan, sigh...) the stuff is the bomb!! It is absolutely marvelous and in my opinion a great alternative for those that either don't like tabasco or want a change. Packed with a lot of flavor and aroma!! They also have a "Red" hotter version.
You can get two versions either liquid sauce or paste.

A bit more pizzazz, NOT as salty, slightly tangy, good aroma. Great thing is, it just goes well with almost anything and it doesn't mask the original taste of the food, but gently enhances it. First time I tried it, I was hooked! I thought you could get it everywhere in Japan. Here in Fukuoka, you can get it virtually almost anywhere, the stuff has gone mainstream here.

Takahashi Shoten doesn't ship overseas as a matter of routine but they do take enquiries from abroad. You have to email, fax or telephone them rather than ordering though their website. They mainly want trade business (a friend who runs a Japanese restaurant in London says she'll get in touch with them).

en_info@yuzusco.com (English contact, it's just info@yuzusco.com for Japanese)
Tel: 0944-73-6271
Fax: 0944-74-1212

Nevertheless, they might take a retail order if it was big enough. I suppose that's what Osakadave is checking now.

The manufacturer has already been to the US on a promotional trip so they have an eye on new markets. They used the Fukuoka Agricultural Products Trading Co. as their export agent for that event. FAPT in turn used New York-based Himi Okajima to assist them and you could try emailing him on himi@tontonnyc.com to see if he could help if Japanese is a barrier. He owns a Kyushu restaurant in the city and is having a good time there if his website is any guide.

The company is also on Twitter. Oh, and they do ginger too:

Isn't a ranch what you use to tighten bolts?
BTW, do they have four seasons in America?

I think so. Salt, Pepper and I'm sure there's at least a couple more....

There used to be, but being America (and barbarian) they eventually just lumped them all together in Jane's Krazy Mixed-up Seasons. Now it's hard to decide whether to shovel the driveway or put out the lawn chairs.

To answer your first question: You're mistaking something the mob uses and it's called brass knuckles!

The second answer to your question: In California, we have Spring, Summer cool, Summer hot, so so Summer (where the leaves are not sure what color to change and Chilly Spring!

Hope that helped, glad to clarify!

My humblest thanks. That's really cleared things up for the first one. I guess I should get you guys to write slower in American...However, I received a PM earlier explaining that the thing used to tighten Bolts is Tyson Gay. As the sender explained, if you're being perpetually chased by a homosexual Tyson who's anything like the most notorious member of that clan, it'd tighten you up to the extent that you'd become the fastest runner on the planet, a la Usain Bolt.

Christ, I'm sorry. That has got to be the lamest attempt at humor I've read in weeks....I am already reflecting on the problem in mimicry of my Japanese co-workers when they fuck up something...

No, you got it wrong. It's hot, cool, wet, and dry.
