Guilty pleasure - Kelly Osbourne: Turning Japanese--I really don't think soPosted by Tamiko, January 29, 2007 7:18 AM

Japanophiles unite! Tune into MuchMusic for a 3-part reality show featuring Ozzy's little Kelly having fun and fancy in Japan. In Kelly Osbourne-Turning Japanese, indulge yourself by watching Kelly immerse herself in modern and traditional Japanese culture. As a gaijin (foreigner), Kelly must battle the politeness of Japanese society, the language barrier, homesickness, while trying out odd jobs and hobbies.

In the episodes, you'll find Kelly settle down in her trendy Tokyo "mansion" (condo), try to work her automated toilet, figure out the Tokyo subway system, waitress in an otaku (geek) cafe, act as a receptionist at one of the city's busiest "love hotels" (pervy goodness), hang out at a host club, sword for her life at a Samurai class, dress up in a manga costume for a Cosplay event, work at an oxygen cafe, try her hand at being a Buddhist nun, teach English using karaoke, and study at a geisha house.

For those of you wanting a taste of Japan for the young, this may be your eye candy.

Debated whether this belonged on random Gaijin, or random Nihonji list.

It's been mentioned a few times before, but you're not supposed to "hotlink" to photos on other sites, instead, upload them to FG.
And just in case you didn't know, when you post unedited photos (resizing in Quicktime doesn't count as editing) the EXIF info of each photo shows probably more info than you want known (such as the camera model, date/time - and EXACT GPS location in the case of an iPhone...)

Hey, I gots a mamachari ! Nearly killed myself so many times with my mountain bike (god I hated that pos) that mominlaw confiscated it and got me a cool 27' brown 3 speed english style bicycle. With the shiufu fast removal shopping basket... I can carry both cats to the vet at the same time now... (too close to go by car, far enough to get insane with their constant argueing, and cherry on top the parking has a weird shape where I always scrap my undercarriage)

You need a mountain bike with hydraulic disc brakes. Those things have saved my ass many, many times. Just make sure you don't lock out the front suspension or you'll end up going over the bars. (Thankfully that last bit is not based on personal experience.)
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
