English PC in Tokyo laptop

Postby jasper » Fri Aug 22, 2003 3:56 pm

Been looking for English pc, everything else I use here (home and office)is Japanese OS and, well, I want an English laptop, XP.
Heard about http://www.primepc.jp and have talked to them. Anybody have any experience actually buying from them - I'm interested in their reliability and after service.

Related: Will Lan it with my wifes computer - NEC Japanese XP. Want to print through her printer. how do I get an English driver for the Japanese Epson printer. US model names are different and I've checked many, many sites but can't find list of US/Japanese equivalent model names (right now have Epson PM930C) and it's pretty good quality.

Any input appreciated. Thanks

The PCs will network fine. The driver, should install by default in the English OS. That or you can use the Japanese driver in the English OS without fail.

As for an English laptop, I know Toshiba sells them directly. I see their add in the Daily Yomiuri with english keyboards and OS.
