Partially, it depends on your nationality and your expectations.

Where are you from and what do you want to get out of teaching in Japan?

If you're wealthy enough not to have to worry about being able to afford a ticket back home just go for it and have a good time, but if you're not and are planning to go and make a living from teaching don't.

well... you might get hit on then during a lesson your student might start beating the fuck out of you, then when you are half dead he'll have his way with you.

then he might cut you up and put your body parts on his back porch in a container....

so.... you got a picture?

This iz what is called a "beurette"... Or as the police would say "papers, hands up and face against the wall" (I avoid the usual cute nicknames, but you get the spirit... and in my times they didn't got access to tazers, nowadays it might be an even moar unpleasant encounter...)

If you get turned on by evolutionary genetics, I'd love to discuss run-away sexual selection vs. chase-away selection anytime. Goats are optional.

Well, if you're going to Japan as a college student, you won't have any problems.

A lot of people teach English on the side though. Perhaps you could find people who want an English tutor for their kid.

Just be careful because the Japanese government, like most government frowns on people working without "the proper documentation".

When do you plan on arriving?

Also, if you can, avoid mentioning Tunisia. I don't mean to offend you, but because of the media, many Japanese people have a problem with "Africans". If you mention Tunisia, they won't know where it is and then they'll ask you where it is.

If you have french nationality, I'd just mention that.
There are many Africans in Japan who say they are Americans to avoid the social stigma.

Yeah but (maybe i'm wrong) for japanese when they think african they think "little black sambo". Not sure the are aware of the concept of North african, or the fact that it's mostly an arabic population...
