Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

Two winners of "Peko-chan and Poko-chan look-alike contest". Fujiya confectionary has changed Peko-chan's image a bit recently. Some of the changes include her hair colour (from black to brown), the location of her ribbon and the length/size (?) of her tongue.

Snake-like sweet potato

Postby BigInJapan » Mon Nov 22, 2010 3:56 pm

"I just dug, and there it was."
This coiled up snake-like sweet potato was harvested by 78-year-old Shinobu Tanaka of Maizuru, Kyoto in her field on November 10. According the gardening company that sold the seedlings, it is most likely that the seedling was entwined in the pot and just stayed that way after transplanting in the field.

Untitled, Kohei Yoshiyuki (1971)

The advent of infrared-sensitive film and filtered flashbulbs let Yoshiyuki photograph sex acts clandestinely in Tokyo parks. For this series, called The Park, he documented not only the prurient activities but also the voyeurs who lurked in the shadows.

Thank you for showing off your deep knowledge of the forum posting history.
You mean I should have checked a thread from 2007 dead since 2009?
Is that so?

No-one can be expected to know everything that has already been posted, but doing a bit of searching first helps.

search is located at top right of the page.

there is a nice .gif showing how to use it but I'm too lazy to find it. Maybe someone who knows where it is can post it.

No, you two don't say you are MO's advocates?

My bad, how possibly could have I missed the most active thread covering a two year span?

I would gladly follow any written guideline of the forum telling to do a search for previously posted material since the opening of this board before submitting a post. Could you please point me in the right direction?

My pleasure

1. Before posting, look over recent topics and do a quick search to make sure your story isn't a repost.

The guys who replied to your post weren't trying to give you a hard time. They were just pointing out that it's nice to keep the same topics in the same place and we often do bring up old threads.

It's a good reminder to us all that we aren't the first people to discover Japan and it's often interesting to see topics pop up again when they've been nearly forgotten.

We're happy to have you post but please don't get upset if someone points out that your ideas have been here before.
