Indeed, here too on the Aichi-side of the Kiso, to be erai is to be tired, in fact Chubu has some major ~ben drift across the borders with proximity to Kansai and what not...

seriously, WTF?

Insecure much?

How long did you spend stewing over that truly convoluted attempt at face saving... Are you some kind of aspiring uber-nerd who in spite of just not getting it, won't give up?

You explanation/justification and hissy fit dismissal of this forum and its members, many like me long termers, is just, well adolescent...

nail,head, hit, no?

Never read anything special aboot the mitsu logo, ok, it didn't pop out of a cow's bunghole... But there is nothing exceptional, and sort of tame even compared to the Auto Union one...

Nope, "practising" actually is the correct spelling (for me, and an whole lot of other non-Americans out there).

Mentally? Is that as opposed to being narrow-minded physically?
I thought I was pretty up-to-date with the current vernacular. Kids these days...

I am not here to argue with a couple of Americans that probably lived in Japan for some time and believe they have a better command of the language than a native speaker.

As mentioned before, I am not here to tell you that you were wrong, but rather that you are a bunch of narrow-minded kids (mentally), that jump any opportunity to pick a fight if their pride is hurt.

Calling me a prescriptivist is the most laughable shit I've heard in a long time.
First, I have a BA and MA in Ling. from a functional camp. I have forgot more about linguistic analysis than you have ever known. I studied directly under Talmy Givon. If you don't know who that is, you don't know shit about linguistics.

Second, I have done syntactic-semantic and phonological analysis on literally hundreds of languages and more often than THERE IS one answer to a linguistic issue. Let me guess, you have a few years of Japanese under your belt and recently took Intro to Linguistic Analysis. So now you're fucking expert. Am I close?
BTW I gave my analysis of your example only after consulting my wife who is a Japanese instructor by trade. I only commented on the syntactic structure, nothing else.

Finally, I, like many posters here, have lived a life intertwined with Japanese society for more than decade and have put my rose colored Wapanese glasses down a long time ago. So go back to Gaijinpot and project your insecurities on the assholes over there. Thank you.
