The guys who replied to your post weren't trying to give you a hard time. They were just pointing out that it's nice to keep the same topics in the same place and we often do bring up old threads.

It's a good reminder to us all that we aren't the first people to discover Japan and it's often interesting to see topics pop up again when they've been nearly forgotten.

We're happy to have you post but please don't get upset if someone points out that your ideas have been here before.

I would like to add that i love it when the old threads are dug up from the grave yard as I spend hours reading the entire thing, going to every link, and laughing my ass off endlessly until i run out of JD.

I think the top flic is outside of old Tachikawa AB, or maybe Showa AS and the middle flic might be the shotengae in Suidobashi in front of the old Korakuen stadium. If any of the hookers were around I could be sure of the exact location...

Can't vouch for any of them being hookers, but. . .

I had to look at this a few times before I registered anything odd.

The same thing happened in Omote sando the other day. I saw a bunch of cos play kids - a girl dressed as a pink furry bear, the usual goth loli stuff etc and I didn't even register it all as something odd or even rate a second look. That is "been in Japan too long" moment for sure.

I hear you and understand what you are saying about things be put where they belong, I love me a tidy house, however some discomfort remains after re-reading your comment:
1. I see no definition given of "recent" - in the case at hand thread Mike Oxlong pointed to is inactive since 2009, last comment 12-08-2009, do you mean I should have abstained from reviving it here as a random Japanese, where it rightfully, in my opinion, belongs? No, I did not search for it here, the day before I stumbled upon it on a photo forum I participate in.
2. I think you=anatachi as you put it, bless the Japanese language, could have saved the patronizing part about hapiness
and finaly 3, not really upset, saddened by the welcome perhaps, if I am appearing upset is because commenting on my posting was done obviously without having reviewed its very short history here, I offered apologies for possibly already put material: no reaction at that moment but nose pinching now?
C'mon, I came here under the same handle used on another site, I think it is obvious to all those who include some sailing in muddy waters in their navigational habits that I am not the type of poster who joins to play games with other board members.

In conclusion, I appreciate the general tone of your reply and I believe it makes the board readable; maybe I am still to get the right beat of the forum but there is no bitterness.

I quite like this photo.

Image

The woman at the back on the right appears to be wearing the internationally-recognized uniform of a 1920s lesbian.

Image

In the days when film was expensive, you really had to get your photo face right.

Image

Then again, the women at the back here look like they'd sort you out if you started getting out of order.
