Love Hotel density

Postby GridReaper » Sun Aug 24, 2003 7:36 am

My wife and I were driving back from the in-laws in Osaka last night and I was amazed with the amount of love hotels we passed on the 15km trip back to the apartment. I sisn't expect to see so many since we were nowhere near any train stations. We must of passed at least a dozen of the windowless hotels on the way back.

Is there that much fornication going on around here? How many affairs or "escape-from-eavesdropping-roommates/relatives" shinanigans do you have to have to sustain the love hotel industry? I mean, these places are fairly large and last I checked, land doesn't come cheap here. Is business that good that they can pop up more than Lawsons and McD's?

Oh, fyi, I'm only in Japan a week or two every season, plus we just got a car (the VW Golf rocks!) and this was our first drive from there, so please excuse me for sounding like a total newbie.

Think about it.....you are too old to farm so you build a love hotel which doesn't need much maintenance and sex sells. The better the hotel, the more customers will come in.

Yep, there's a whole lot love in Japan.

But don't forget that 99.999999999999999999999909999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% Japanese live in substandard slum housing without any privacy. Even salarymen need sex once or twice a year.

Also keep in mind that most single people live with their parents until they get married. Making whoopie with your mom and dad on the other side of the very thin wall can be difficult.

Many of them (especially the really out of the way ones) can be pretty lavish at the same price of a business hotel. I have been to a few, and all were bigger than my apartment. One I liked had a projection TV that took over an entire wall. The crazy features some places have are beyond your imagination (mini golf holes....basket ball hoops....jungle theme with ropes hanging from the ceiling).

My guess that on any Friday or Saturday night these places are damn close to full...so they are doing something right....

But also some places are being booked by groups of people for regular parties.. ie food, drink, karaoke. The rooms are cheaper than booking out a traditional restuarant and it is more like having a house party.

Next party - I am thinking about doing this as it sounds great!!

Who wants an invite???

Of course, I do!

Actually, I'm looking for places with a pool that can accommodate around 10-20 people. That love hotel in Shibuya may not cut it. Anyone know where such a place exists (and I'm not talking about the big hotel pools either).

Despite what goes on in those places, the rooms are very clean. I am always surprised at the amenities and cleanliness of love hotels. Not only are they cheaper than regular hotels, the TV has a lot more free and interesting content, i.e. free adult movies. I know one is usually in those hotels to make one's own AV film but....

Especially the newer ones within the cities.

But the older ones out among the rural areas offer more privacy and larger rooms.

I used to think the same way as BB--"perish the thought of going into one of those seedy, disgusting love hotels!" Actually, they are so clean, one could go in and never know what their real purpose was.

How is it different to what goes on in regular hotel/motel rooms? I think the sleaze factor is all in your head.

Probably, but some of these rooms have swimming pools? Yes I'll accept that they may do a mighty fine job of cleaning the bath, but unless they change the water in the pool on every visit, I'd be quite squeamish at the thought of taking a plunge. :crazy3:

Love hotels are designed for this. Day in and day out, bang bang on the door baby!

(Regular hotels?) on the other hand are not designed for "hourly" usage. While the raunchy behaviour goes on there, I'd chance to say not as much as a Love Hoteru. :D

And I have heard that the rooms are spotless, and actually quite a value considering all they provide. I just can't bring myself to trying one.. it might be the sleaze factor in my head.. but I just can't. Well, maybe if I was broke and couldn't afford a non-hourly hotel, then I might try the love hotel route.

Rural Love hotels in Aomori are actual little houses......each "room" is a separate building, so you can make all the noise you need to.

No, it's not me. But to the tell the truth it looks a lot me when I was younger. I'm 34 now and look less androgynous than I did before. Now I have a beard so that helps people guess that I'm a man. In America most of my girlfriends were kind of half dykey types. In fact, my main squeeze through most of college and after (seven years total) was (is) bi. Boy, that girl knew how to do some cheatin'! I didn't mind so much with chicks, we even hooked a threesome once. (Oh God, more locker room style braggadocio just what this site needs.) In Japan, androgyny in men seems to be a lot more popular with women but I don't know if I managed to score in spite of it or because of it.

BTW, my 'girl' is Japanese and she's my wife.

BTW again. American Oyaji, did you use to live in Aomori? I spent three years up there myself. It sure snows a lot.

I hear they offer lubricants, toys, condoms, porn, video games, etc??? I know some are very nice as I have a few friends who travel and love hotels are their main venue of travel lodging.

I may one day try one just to get it over with, but for now, the thoughts are too overwhelming.

Interesting point.......virginity.....

Cuz anyone who has made the beast with two backs
all
night
long
KNOWS that stuff is gonna get sticky and wet and that showers and new bedsheets will be required first thing in the morning. But in the meantime both are too tired do do anything than not to sleep in a REAL wet spot as opposed to a relatively damp one.

I mean, after some serious sex.......

Well...why are you so shy about going into love hotels? You seem very afraid of bodily fluids (odd considering your name). If you're sqeamish about entering a love hotel how could you enter a vagina?

Well the thing is, I don't mind fluids, as long as their MY fluids... not 1000 or so of the previous occupants. That and you never know if crabs or some other STD might be lurking on a toliet seat, tub, carpet???

I wonder how sanitary they really are.. I mean clean they may appear but I just wonder if there have been any studies on this.. considering what these hotels are primarily made for.

:D

And to answer your question, I am a married man, so no, I am not a virgin. And to go on, I love entering vaginas.. in fact, it brings me great pleasure LOL

Where are love hotels that allow you to enter with 20 people and have a party?

In my experience you can enter as a couple, no more no less, and it must be a man and a woman. I never got a key, they just opened the door automatically, and when you leave, your stay is over. You can't "drop off your bags and grab a bite" in my experience.....though this was generally in the bigger cities in Kansai and in Tokyo, I am not sure about the country areas....
