dll files help?

I have run windoc and some problems are missing or corruppt dll files.

I went to dll.com and can dload the files...ie:(shell32).
but I`m never sure when i dload files where to instsall them...desktop, data c/f etc.?? from there i can extract the files to the program...is that right?
anyone thanks?

Usually C:windowssystem32 will do it as that's the default search path.
