immigration

Anyone know if the immigration office in Kanagawa is open this week?

Tried calling but engaged Or no line. Not sure

Just got a new visa recently (before quake) but I forgot to get a re-entry visa.
Need that in order to get back in if we decide to leave.

Otherwise its gonna be a huge pain to get through immigration with my gaijin card intact.

I'm not sure of the office in Kanagawa. The office in Shinagawa is open and it is apprently a very popular destination these days. Yesterday (Wed.) the queue was some 400 meters long. Yes, you read that correctly: the queue was outside the building, in the direction of the bridge towards Shinagawa station. The queue already started at one bus stop before the bus stop at the immigration office. The situation today seems similar.
