Hospital officials said they had decided against informing everyone whose name was on the list since only one person had complained, and because "an explanation to all patients would draw confusion." A 60-year-old worker responsible for posting the information on his personal Web page was served a severe warning in October last year following the discovery.

"I wanted my relatives to know what kind of work I was doing," the worker was quoted as saying. "I didn't think that ordinary people would know the names of the people and the illnesses."

I guess he never thought of editing the information he posted...????

I had never understood the J-logic of "Avoid confusion" which is the most common excuse in Japanese after shoganai.
Dang. Come to think of it, I don't even know how to write "Avoid confusion" ...konran no...??? Japanese governmnent jokers are always coming out with shamelessly insane phrases like, "to avoid market confusion."
