I've got mixed feelings about that site. Some of those articles aren't as inaccurate or irresponsible as the contributors believe.

Shaming, Japanese professional baseball. WTF are these Jijis thinking. The amount of electricity to power the Tokyo dome will light 5000 houses for a day. I feel bad for the players, since a lot of them said they don't want to play, but the league has said, we are going ahead.
If you really want to play, use outdoor stadiums at least, and play afternoon games.
I also have a problem with the Japanese high school baseball association for going ahead with their spring tournament. Again such a waste of energy, when it could be used for something better. The Hachinohe team has been stranded, not able to make it back after the earthquake, two players are from Sendai and can't locate their family members, but the games must to on.
And I really feel bad for the Sendai team, that are staying in Sendai, to help volunteer. They should get a special invitation to the summer event, if they can make it.

Yeah, did you see that the league owners said they would donate 1 oku yen? That's peanuts. I wouldn't put it past them to mean it's the money the players are collecting from fans at train stations.

I suggest she head on over to Fukushima and help out! She can get all the radiation she wants. I'll even pay for her ticket over if she promises to hang out close (say within a few 100 meters) of the reactors for a couple of days...

Good god, Bill O'Reilly almost making a sane and articulate argument. Will the eyes ever fail to deceive.
Maybe Coulter thinks that with more radiation it will help get rid of her adams apple that is so visible

Somewhat surprisingly it has been cities across China, including Hong Kong, that have witnessed panic in recent days, in contrast to the relative calm in Japan.

Are you kidding me, the freaks here in BeiJing bought the grocery stores out of salt. They were thinking if the radiation spread to China, a bag of salt would save them from cancer.

I think the two of you are in agreement, and the Chinese would have to use a LOT of salt to reach the level of a single KI tablet.

Yup, and that much salt is likely far more harmful than any radiation it might protect from.

My naming and shaming nominee is NHK for their insistance in calling it the 'Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake'. While I don't doubt that there has been alot of suffering in the Tokyo region with the 30 plus people dead in the region, the blackouts, property damage, higher than normal radiation levels in the area, I'm pretty sure it doesn't compare to the 20,000 plus dead in Tohoku, the total lack of any power for several days, completely destroyed towns and villages, and an area 30 km in diameter that is completely uninhabitable due to the radiation. But of course, for NHK one death in Tokyo is the equavalent of about 100 death in those far away parts of Japan....

[Rant/] I wouldn't mind it being call the 'The great Tohoku -Tokyo induced disaster' since most of the bad decision making that resulted in so much death and mayhem originated in Tokyo (the seawalls that gave people a false sense of security, the evacuation plan which overopitimistically valued the safety of concrete buildings as opposed to running for the hills, and of course TEPCO).[rant over]

Dimwit, I totally agree. I was a bit surprised when I heard the name Tohoku, Kanto earthquake. I thought they would name it the Great Sanriku earthquake, since that encompasses, Fukushima, Miyagi, and Iwate, but I guess they wanted to encompass the whole area.
Maybe they feel by adding the name Kanto it will be easier to raise and get reconstruction money to rebuild. Unfortunately most of the money will go to rebuild Tokyo Disneyland, since we all know that gets priority.

Yeah, Sanriku would be a hell of a lot more accurate. It doesn't include Fukushima though, but that's a minor point.

To be fair if this doesn't cause someone to have a full blown nervous breakdown, nothing will. If he has gone completely off the rails there's no way he'd be in a fit state to face anyone.
