I saw this book on the shelf at Kinokuniya in Seattle last week. I stopped to read the dust jacket. It sounds like an interesting read.

It's funny how people get all misty eyed about the golden age of air travel. It was also the golden age of air crashes. Flying is an ordeal these days (at least the being at the airport part is) but I'd rather be doing it now than 50 years ago.
