Tokyo's own

Postby sublight » Sun Apr 10, 2011 8:05 pm

NHK just announced the early election results: 4 more years of that dried-up crapsack.

Kokubara had the most votes among voters age 20-40, but Blinky was the far-ahead winner among the 70+ crowd.

because he is in their age group I guess

one more downside to the demographic age trend, the oldies tend to vote, and they vote in their interests, more tax on the working population & businesses, more public works pork for the amakudari wrinklies.

I wonder what he is going to waste billions on this time, he's done the bank so bad other banks complained, the not a hope in hell olympic bid, the let's have casinos in Tokyo bay while complaining about the influx of the triads, and let's concrete over an area of natural beauty because in 1973 two boys fell in a pond and drowned.

Maybe we can line the harbor with casinos to use them as a safety buffer when the next big tsunami hits.

WTF?

His declaration of candidacy for re-election was something like: "I feel that my mind and body are half-rotten and deteriorating with age and that I'm not as sharp as one should be for this job. Nevertheless I announce my candidacy"

and the old fuck still won?

He may not have the budget flexibility he's had in the past if they don't get this power generation issue under control soon.

At least he will be able to say that those rolling blackout in mid summer are a divine punition for re-electing him...

So out of the 17 people under 30 that could barely be bothered to vote, 6 of them voted for Ishihara?

My wife watch his victory speech and speculated that he may be suffering from senile dementia so there may be a question as to how long he will be mentally competetant to serve as governor.

The same could be said for any of the previous three victory speeches...

We can only hope he'd have to leave office if he became mentally incompetent. Then again, the voters put him in office again, even after he made made his divine punishment comments, so I'm beginning to think that even if Blinky started randomly physically attacking people, they would still keep him in office.

Heh. BTW, I'm astonished that no one has investigated his links with Aum. Blinky apparently was active in helping promote the cult in Russia in the early 90s. When the gas attack occured, he abruptly resigned from the Diet. The timing was no coincidence, methinks.

They waited until after the election to post the latest updates on the Fukushima reactor. For shame.

Can't blame Blinky for getting voted in.....it's the people that voted him in that need their heads examined...but then, with divine punishment, their brains stopped working, so that isn't a surprise.....with each election, they just get punished with progressive Alzheimers and divine punishment....

And Blinky isn't a matter if he became mentally incompetent....he's already showing signs of Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD)...unable to admit mistakes, continuously rambles at the mouth without thought of other folks' feelings or how it may look to the outside world...he's just one of them fun type of folks that need to be taken out of office before he does harm....more than he has so far....
try or try not...there is no do......

JD, we want him to become mentally incompetent. It will be a vast improvement to his speeches and it is the only way to approve of his performance as Governor.
