[/floatl]A recent meeting in Beijing of CODEX, the international naming standards organization, has apparently agreed to adopt the Korean word "yuya" to refer to the citrus fruit known in Japan as "yuzu". It seems that the Japanese delegation in Beijing agreed to the proposal put forward by the Koreans which suggests a measure of horse trading probably took place. The change is to the formal name for the fruit used internationally so you won't find yuzu being relabelled as yuya and the name yuzu will probably continue to have currency overseas.Source (Japanese)
