That is one ugly looking car. I hope the Impreza follows the Skyline/Nissan fiasco (after the R34) and they realize what happens to their rally brand, then come out with a supercar in 2013.

For example:

The Imprezza has looked like shit since the 2005 model, which was badass.

Before that, the turtle-eyed one was crap, but the older generation looked great.

And for an encore of fugly Nissan cars I present:

The Juke
Image

The Pink March/Micra
Image

Where did it all go wrong? Did it begin with Ghosn? They had the Silvia, the old March, Skyline GT/GTS-T/GTR, Sunny which were all great cars and then came along the Murano.....

Going back to Subbies, the last model I liked was this one:

Then the WRX started to look like a hatchback Focus, but not quite as cool. God I hate car designers sometimes.

Yeah, the Juke have a face only a mother can love... But look a bit better in real life... I'd be tempted if the engine/cvt combo was not the same piece of crap as in my Note...

And the previous March in 1.2 auto was a blast to drive... While the new one are... dreadfull AND an eyesore... (they change all the shape but kept the rear doors of the previous model, the car look like an amateurish cadavre exquis...)

I recently had the chance to drive a little Suzuki CVT and a mid-size Toyota wagon with CVT. The Suzie was great since the little turbo engine made the most of the smooth transmission, but the Toyota was horrible with the 1.6 in it. It wouldn't start smoothly, lags in "shifting" and never listened to the manual input downshifts. On the other hand, cruising on the highway at 140 @ 1800 rpm was great, but you did have to forget that there was no engine braking whatsoever, and you would just gliiiiiiiiiiiiide all the way until the wind slowed you down somewhat.

For the Nissans you have to push the "sports mode" button to... be slower and have the engine braking...

Between the Juke and Cube, I think Nissan is on some kind of suicide mission to build the ugliest cars they can and destroy the company.

The Juke looks like a hump-back salmon or something.

I think the Juke is kinda cute. Sort of like a bulldog is kinda cute.
There's a deep red one that I see around here sometimes, and it's quite a head-turner.

No accounting for taste, I guess.

Obsession with cars is almost as ghey and pathetic as obsession with watching grown men in faggoty matching uniforms run around a field playing with a ball.

...but the silver lining in turning the Impreza into the legacy is it makes room for whatever they're going to call their version of the joint sports car project with Toyota. (which could actually be decent)

A brand-new car isn't really suited for drifting either... unless you're stupid rich.

I hope the FT-86 comes out looking a bit less gimmicky and over the top like the concepts and a bit more like the Hachiroku... a simple, classic design.

Depends, seen lots of people drifting new cars at events where the only thing they worry about running into is cones. (though I've seen some real idiots out there when the car isn't really broken in yet...have some patience haha)

Don't they always though? Those spy shots definitely make it look toned down.
