Ugandan to get 200,000 yen for beating in custodyYomiuri Shimbun / Dec 12
The Osaka High Court on Thursday ordered the central government pay 200,000 yen to a 35-year-old Ugandan man who was attacked and beaten by officers of the West Japan Immigration Center in Ibaraki, Osaka Prefecture...

200,000Yen...I'd much rather be beat in the U.S. May come out with more injuries but the payout will be much much better!

200,000 is a lot of money for me, but I still think an amount like that is like a slap in a face.
