Represent an innocent victim in a slam dunk easy case of a individual defamed, cyber-bullied and traumatized by a popular blog that assumes it is untouchable.
The case is straight forward and will be won easily due to the clear breaking of the law in several instances, but will make headlines in Japan if not the world. Fantastic opportunity for any lawyer, even a law student. This could define your career in cyber law.
Contact me for more details.

Location: Tokyo
Compensation: Probono case, but may make your career.
Telecommuting is ok.
This is a part-time job.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
Please, no phone calls about this job!
Please do not contact job poster about other services, products or commercial interests.

...cyber-bullied and traumatized by a popular blog that assumes it is untouchable.
Gimme a break. What, is this high-school?
I'm guessing this might refer to GP as there are some chronically abusive users over there (I only lurk there occasionally) that apparently have gone as far as publishing user's names and addresses etc. And there's even an alternate anti-GP site where GP outcasts fester and hatch conspiracies about their demise (or so one would imagine).
It takes two to tango, and if you put yourself in a position where you could be "cyber-bullied", you shouldn't be frequenting online forums in the first place.

I thought of Debito but that was too obvious.

My guess is that it's this guy, Wade Phillpott, an English teacher at Tokyo Institute of Tourism in Ichigaya:

Apparently, we're all 'faggots' - all of us. But don't worry, Wade Phillpott will 'sort us out'. He's a man's man.

Apparently.

After reading this... I'm sort of a bit moar on his side...

I'm getting tired of some behaviour that consider that if something was dangerous we would have been told, or the official guidelines are perfect to keep us safe... Or nobody could have known, or the cost was too high compare to the benefit (so instead we didun't spend a penny)...

It's one thing to stay and be lucky to live throught it, and another one to consider that since you survived you wuz right and everybody else was wrong, and a coward, and a flyjin... and.... and... and...

He was clearly correct to make his own call in a situation where his life was on the line. He took responsibility for his own safety. Nothing to criticize there. But, he handled the negative press very, very poorly.

There's no denying the dude needs a PR agent, but seriously why is all this even an issue to begin with? The roof was going to collapse, he ran out, big deal. I promise you there were hundreds, if not thousands of locals all over the Kanto/Tohoku region doing the exact same thing that day, and yet we focus on this dude because... he's white?

The advice to dive under a table or desk rather than head for the exits is based on the law of averages. If everyone heads for the door at the same time the exits will get blocked and people are going to get trampled and suffocated. There is also a chance you will run into a dangerous situation, a collapsing staircase, shattering glass, falling debris etc.

So on average overall more people will survive if they follow the procedure, however it is then a lottery whether or not you are in a building that can take the shake.

I think altogether 8 people were killed by the quake in Tokyo on March 11th, pretty amazing for a city this size and a quake that size. We owe a vote of thanks to the architects and engineers.

I believe this whole post and the op are summed up with the terms GAY GAY GAY GAY, GAY.

and gaye, (yes, an extra E) and then a little more gay, followed by being gay, with a little bit of gay on the side, on the side of gay.

Re-reading the original JP article, the criticism of Phillpott by the blog writer or in the comments is pretty mild. Of course, once he waded in (using at least two different usernames) calling everyone else childish names, the criticism became a lot more personal. Had he actually responded by presenting his side of the story like an adult, his reception would have been much more positive.

To claim he's being "defamed, cyber-bullied and traumatized" is ridiculous. This over-entitled man-child doesn't need free legal representation, he needs a kick in the ass.

Thatz right.

The Craigslist Waaambulance ad doesn't have any specifics (and Phillpott's case seems hardly worthy legal representation).
