Aha, seems my Alzheimer's is kicking in (just did a search and found it way back in this thread). I'm in a different area now so I'll have to find some new signs.

Strictly speaking, not a sign per se, but was on the bicycle parked next to mine outside a McDonald's restaurant now...my immediate thought was of Jack....

Maybe the feminists got stuck into this sign-maker or something, but it still looks to me like the lid is down on all of these pictures, including the one of the correct example. Does this mean guys should always put the lid down on the toilet seat, even when they are in the process of having a dump?
I would have thought perhaps it would be better to lift the lid, do your business, clean up and then put the lid down...

Greji, I recall when I first went to Japan in 1975 as an exchange student. I was with some other American students and we encountered a shad-master as we called it. A porcelan hole in the floor. Man we had to be quite careful not to drop a load in our pants when using those.

In 1975, I had that problem when dealing with the women here....

Yup, the lovely old bomb sights, where you really had to line it up to splash one home on target! Brings back grand old memories. The stories I can tell of mates and the struggles they've had lining up after a brew or two. Loads of shit in the back of the pants, or on the floor behind the hole that cannot be discerned until you finish and step backward right into the middle of it while struggling to get the pants hiked up. Any number of wallets, passports, or other valuables dropped down the unforgiving deep that had to be fished out by coat hangers, or wires. A mate who had his car keys fall out of his pocket right on target, while dropping his bloomers for an air start from one of the local lovelies. Ah, the list is endless. History in its telling.

Now they only use the verbal variety, saved up mostly for use in the National Diet and TV talk shows.

What do you mean "how they used to"? Take a peek at some of the small farms way out in the country, or in the mountains.....

Does the lettering in the border of that sign read "Ya I fuk U?"
