ACCJ/FCIJ Post-Quake Surveys

Postby Mulboyne » Thu Jun 16, 2011 11:54 pm

The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) and Foreign Chambers in Japan (FCIJ) have released the results of a survey of foreign and local businessman in the aftermath of the earthquake. 80% reported their companies are operating business as usual while 47-48% said their personal lives are back to normal. Interestingly, Japanese respondents came out as less confident they were informed about airborne radiation risks than their foreign counterparts. 54% said airborne radiation remains their primary concern against 15% in the foreign community. Foreign businessmen are more concerned about power outages (34%) and food & water safety (30%) than Japanese (9% and 21% respectively). Both communities expressed a rising dissatisfaction about the quality of official information about the situation in the Kanto region. More in the links below.
