Should You All Be Staying in Tokyo Post Fukushima?

Postby TOKYO JOE » Thu Aug 11, 2011 12:30 am

Friends, this is sad sad news. There are parts of Tokyo Prefecture now that are reading higher levels of radiation than the control zone of Fukushima. The article has a map with the readings. They were taken quite recently. There's this professor from the east coast with a video up at the link who says that the people of Tokyo Town are breathing 10 hot particles each and every day. This sounds worrying. I have made adjustments and installed filters but Tokyo Midtown is well constructed and I think I am safe here. For those English teachers moving around Tokyo Town all day long is it really worth the 180,000 yen a month to risk your lungs?

I hope your filters protect you. You might consider hiding under the bed as well....

Thanks for telling everyone that you live at Tokyo Midtown. I am impressed. Do you feel better?

Where you been Jack? Joe has been impressing us thoroughly above high living and the like. He hasn't posted for awhile, probably had to leave to get his tourist visa renewed....

Well if I lived in Kanagawa friend I would feel the same. But if TTTokyolios are breathing 10 hot particles a day, as per the video at the link, and I am breathing zero hot particles a day, because of my super hi tech filtration system made in Japan, and people in Seattle are breating in 5 hot particles a day, as per the video by that scientist at the link, then in Kanagawa you must be breathing in about 9 hot particles a day friend.

What would be worse? Watching that 2009 Japanese butchering of the movie Sideways, or breathing in all that fine Tokyo air? That's the real questions.

PEACE
TOKYO JOE.

Jeez I don't understand all this concern about hot particles with a distinct integer number. I just cool the bastards down before ingesting them. Problem solved!

Edited to add, just noted who had posted the blog entry at the link provided in the original post. QED. I'm not going to waste breath ranting about not posting to primary sources anyway. Instead I'll waste breath thanking all and sundry that I am not in the especially at risk occupation (teaching English) or moving around Tokyo "Town." And that I feel dirty for having perpetuated this thread.

Well Tokyo Joe, you got some options:

1. Don't breath any air, eat, or drink anything.
2. Move further South to either Yokohama or Yoko-sucka.
3. DECON your arse real good, and fly out of the Country.

Otherwise, there's really not much to else to worry about at this point...

I dont take no English lessons from anyone in Tokyo Town , but I will make an exception for you friend. I am talking about this POS produced by this great country in the wake of one of the the greatest movies of the 2000s.

I see. I guess we can therefore assume that English is not your native language, correct?

Really? Those English lessons from China don't seem to be doing you much good so maybe it's time to take some lessons here...

I'd hardly call Sideways "one of the the greatest movies of the 2000s" but I'd rather shag that broad in the remake rather than that dog of an "asian woman" in the original.

I'm not an English teacher nor have I heard your podcast but as several others and myself have suggested, if you're going to to continue to publish in English, you should have a better grasp of the language.

I wouldn't touch Sandra Oh if she was the last female on earth. (and every human that isn't blind would agree extinction of the species is a better deal than a re-population that included her genes) One of my worst nightmares is being tied to a bed like in Misery but with her and Sarah Jessica Parker as the abductors. :noose: It's a close toss up as to which is more repulsive...

By strange coincidence, those are the two actresses that just about make me want to retch when I see them. Two faces definitely made for radio...

And TOKYO JACKOFF, unless we see some verifiable photos, there's no way a joker like you is living anywhere near Tokyo Midtown.

This is where TOKYO JACKOFF would have us believe he lives:

Friends it pains me to say this, but then again, it serves you right for actually wanting to live in Kawasaki.

Charlie Don't Surf - in the Kawasaki Pool.

And friends, don't get Tokyo Joe started on the boar meat. I like to have my girls come over in Ye Oldes Medieval Costume and pretend that I am Henry the 8th myself. Well, that aint going to happen no more.

Joe, what's with the need for resorting to sarcasm and a sense of glee regarding this? Pretty disgusting of you to do so. Thankfully you don't actually live in Japan.
