Desperately seeking Djs...

Postby Kogun » Tue Sep 16, 2003 9:57 am

Hello, I'm in Yamanishi-ken... about an hour or so from Tokyo... I'm a hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz, trip-hop DJ, but unfortunately left my decks and records at home (America) due to shipping costs. I just started buying records, even though I've yet to buy turntables.

I'm looking for other DJs to hook up with for sessions and just to shoot the shit, talk about records, whatever. If you scratch, thats a double-plus. Anyhow, I'm also looking for decks... 1210's, as I heard their cheaper in japan than in the states. Can anyone point out a good place to get turntables for a good price. Also, how the fack do you Japan DJs store your records in this heat?! I'm already paranoid as hell? Anyhow, feel free to email me at j_scardina@hotmail.com.

Peace...
Kogun

Get thee to Akihabara, young man

Postby kamome » Tue Sep 16, 2003 1:26 pm

I bedroom DJ for fun using Pioneer digital turntables. I've upgraded my deck over at Llaox Ongaku-kan in Akihabara. They have the essentials: mixers, SL1210's, amps, speakers, etc, and all the brands: Vestax, Gemini, Numark, etc. Since I only use CD's, there's no issue with the heat.

PM me if you want to chat.
