Can't agree with that.

Thank you all for the great advice. I think I will just stay a day or two shorter then planned. I will go with a big smile and if I happen to bump into David, I'll give him a good handshake, smile, and buy him lunch. Maybe after a good meal he will forget why he dislikes me. No reason to let this kill my trip. After all, it would be good to spend some time back in OC. :-)

Confront the bastard. Be honest. Tell him to piss off.. you'll surely shock him. He probably doesn't like you because you give off the "I want to be likeable vibe"

Once that is broken, you can end it and never have to talk to Davy again.

Or he will see you as a guy not afraid to stand up for yourself, and like you for that..

Or you could blow him off like a booger..

I used the inverse of that in my computing coursework---Since I was a linguistics grad student, the CS professors had to cut me slack on deadlines and grades or they looked "hostile" to their major end user of computing resources AND source of shared grant money.
