Boarding school for girls from Japan: whips, leather...

Postby Taro Toporific » Sun Oct 30, 2005 9:46 pm

Did anybody know "Frank McCann" while he was in Japan?

:ninja3: Unsettling finds after an arrest :ninja3:
OnlineAthens.com | News | 10/30/05
.... a disturbing picture will emerge of what may have gone on inside 112 Cherry Lane, a 10-room dwelling that former friends and employees said Frank McCann planned to open as a boarding school for girls from Japan.
A veteran detective on the case called a trove of child pornography and other evidence seized from McCann's residence "some of the worst I've ever seen," and people who once worked for McCann out of his home, located off Ruth Street between Martin Luther King Parkway and North Avenue, said the house contained an array of sexual gadgets, handcuffs, whips, spiked leather garments and other gear associated with sado-masochism.
Police also are gathering information about McCann's life in Japan, where he ran a school and was married to a Japanese woman, who died while they were in that country. ...police said they are trying to verify the circumstances of her death.....more...:roll3:

Sounds like Japan was sort of a sexual deviant training camp for him.

It sounds like they think he bumped off the misses but I wonder about that, as I assume that he would probably lose has spouse visa if he did. :?:

He could have wanted to leave Japan so losing a spouse visa would not have been any concern. According to the news report, he was driving a "limo" and spreading around a large amount of money with the schoolgirls. He was building/remodeling a mansion for his boarding school and he had "employees" yet no actual business. This all sounds like he cashed out of Japan quit nicely (mortage death insurance---wife's money no doubt).

Maybe, but what about the J-police? Now I know that none of them are Einsteins but you would think with a dead j-wife that would be automatic grounds for arrest.

He claims he wants to return to Japan, sheesh.
McCann previously lived for some time in Japan. Prosecutors will not oppose a request from McCann to return to Japan after he is released from jail, according to court records.

Indicted on 54 counts

Athens Banner-Herald ---NASTY lengthy signup reguired ---- 11:09 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2005

An east Athens man who police say had dozens of images of child pornography in his home faces five years in prison after he pleaded to three counts and prosecutors agreed to dismiss remaining charges.

Frank Bowen McCann, who has identified himself as the headmaster of the School of Natural Living, entered an "Alford plea" Monday to one count each of false imprisonment and child molestation and a guilty plea to a single count of sexual exploitation of children, according to court records.

"It was based on the strength of the evidence we had - or lack thereof," District Attorney Ken Mauldin said of the plea agreement.

As a part of the plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to drop the pair of indictments handed down earlier this month, which included 54 charges, according to Clarke County Superior Court records. McCann was sentenced to 30 years, and of that, he will serve five years in prison]

I've never heard of boarding schools in Japan either, and I note that the Japanese Wikipedia article on boarding schools is devoted to boading schools in Europe and America, without mentioning any examples in Japan.

Gyosei in Chiba is a boarding school.

There's a lengthy list of middle schools here and senior schools here. All of them cater to boarders.

It specifically mentions two. Gyosei and the Fuji Sacred Heart in Fukuoka.

Many of the elite private schools in Japan are boarding schools. Aiko, Nada and La Salle to name just three that I can think of.

IIRC, from reading Whiting's book The Meaning of Ichiro, the high school he went to not all that far from his childhood home was a boarding school.

Elite means elite. I have had the opportunity to teach one kid who eventually went to Nada. He is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. And what separated him was not that his English was good -though he spoke it well despite having never left the country, it was his hunger for knowledge. He really liked learning new things. No forced studying, he really enjoyed it.

La Salle students are not quite at that level, but still pretty exceptionally bright, and Aiko students are another notch down the ladder but generally smarter than anyone else in there class.

Over my 20 years at Hitachi, I have trained with many "elite shinjin" who have come from the Keio and Waseda escalator systems. I have immense respect for them (unlike the foul turds that plop out of Todai and Sophia).

My criteria for hiring for "bilingual" Japanese talent at Hitachi used the following ranking allowing for individual variations:
1st: real talent/intellect from any school or background with useful publications

2nd: Waseda ('school tie' for Hitachi)
    3rd: Keio
    4th: ICU Japan

NOTE: At Hitachi job interviews, any mention of anime or manga (freakazoid scum) was an automatic batsu/fail.

Bwahahaha :D

Although I agree in principle, the few "freakazoid scum" I know that actually have jobs are amazingly hard workers...and I think it's directly related to their lack of any social life :D They make perfect workers for jobs that require little/no human interaction.

I really don't know much about the private school in Eastern Japan, only those out here in the west and none of them are connected to any university. As far as reading manga, most of the students that I taught that went to the good schools, tend to read books, you know, the things without pictures.
