The Mother of All Hurricanes

Local television has reproduced the track of Hurricane Isabel as predicted by the National Weather Service on its own map. The red line of its possible route goes right through the star showing Washington, DC.

I have friends and family who are affected by this hurricane. All the inland hotels are booked from Thursday through the weekend by East Coasters looking to evacuate in "luxury". You can't get a HoJo's anywhere west of Richmond.

West of Richmond? Damn! Then again, there was a good bit of pounding there during Gloria and a few others as I recall. I'll have to reply to my parents' "are you okay after the typhoon" email with an "are you okay after the hurricane" one. :)

The big wind is now only a class 3 no biggie it was a 5 a while ago but mearly a breaze just now. Check out
they have a cool picture and more fact
