buried deep in this byzantine plot /counter plot - charge, accusation and denial is our old friend Steve 'double Secret CIA agentman' Segal.

Pellicano, who is free on $400,000 bond, was arrested last November after FBI agents searched his office as part of an investigation into threats made to Los Angeles Times reporter Anita Busch, who was investigating a possible connection between action star Steven Seagal and an alleged Mafia associate.

Steven Seagal may not be the most loved person in Hollywood, or in the martial arts community, for that matter. In fact, the list of those whose toes he has stepped on is a lengthy one indeed. But the fact remains that he is second only to Arnold Schwarzenegger in box-office returns over the past seven years. More importantly, as far as martial artists are concerned, Seagal's success has helped to increase interest and awareness in the martial arts. And that alone is a worthy accomplishment..

September 21, 2003 -- New York Post

...Primo Cassarino, 46, convicted with Gotti last March of shaking down action star Steven Seagal, worked as a city garbage collector just 10 years - becoming fully vested in 1992 at $36,877 a year. He then also fell off a truck and filed for disability.

An FBI wiretap caught Cassarino discussing how he needed phony documents to renew his disability benefits, sources said.
