Plenty! If they were the right price, lets say less than a $1,200 Honda Generator that puts out 3500 Watts (more than any Japanese household needs), I'd buy plenty.

... power for about 8 cents per kilowatt hour using solar cells, batteries and electronic inverters. By contrast, nuclear and hydroelectric power plants can provide power at 1.5 to 3 cents per kilowatt hour.

I wonder how they arrived at the watt-usage figures on this page.

I'm definitely a "level 2" user. I can't imagine anybody the least bit tech-oriented to make do with 300w. That's less than a lot of computer power supplies nowadays.

If I were in the US (and in an area with good light) I'd love to be able to live off the grid. Or at least have the option of cutting my connection when I don't need their power. I saw a news story about the latest NY blackout. There was a woman in the affected area who lived partially on the grid and was able to sell her excess energy to the utility as things were ramping back up. I thought that was pretty cool.

My setup will have no "excess energy".

Must save up power to jump start the fusion generator they are gonna develope....

Or pour juice into the weather-altering device. (need more storms, not hurricanes and typhoons)

Or power the electric fences.

I am not sure which option I want to go with yet. What the heck, I may just take the money and sell it after all....
