I have news for you. It is not unusual that teaching personnel of a University go out drinking with students. Ever heard of Bounenkai en Soubetsukai? And yes, it is not only in Japan, but also in Europe and the US, where they have common social events. Nothing strange with that.

There is a good chance that the students that asked you to go out drinking with them just thought it be cool, without having anything sexual in mind. It is you with your suppressed frustrations who is the problem here.

well... i know a trader who started teaching engrish for fun... he seriously did not need the money... so he started his price out at JPY1000. got to many students so upped it to 2k... then 3k... he got even more students cause he was a good teacher and had a solid background in finance.

he finally upped it to JPY5000 and asked for a cover letter and job information to pass some type of pre-requirement for his expertise... still didn't keep the house wives away, but he cut his students in half and still kept the majority of the pussy he was getting before.

moral? none whatsoever... doesn't need the money, didn't need any more pussy that he was getting than before, but tried something for fun and got nothing but more money and pussy than he could deal with.

I can't even have a cup of coffee with him cause he is too "busy"...

I never upped my price but that's pretty much what I've done in the past. When I was overwhelmed, I just stopped taking students

i taught for 9 months last year...when i got back to japan this year , i just signed up again at all the same english schools and started getting students ask 4 me because they remembered i was a cool teacher.
one school i wouldnt recommend to anyone is EREV English School.
they will send u on all kinds of free trial lessons all over tokyo - rarely getting a paying student.
also they are well known for taking sides with students against teachers...esp when the student cancels without giving 24 hour notice.

I need advice on how to turn down a personal invite from a female student. How do you guyz let your students know that you are not interested in them at all!

I have a reputation for turning down invites to dinners and drinks from my students. In the whole entire time I have been in Japan I have only accepted one dinner invitation.

I have a totally hands off approach to my students, however, their mothers are fair game. I do and have shagged my students' mothers, though. Inquiring minds want to know.


Also, a group of male students are constantly hankering over the issues, too. They want to go drinking with me and I always refuse.

I have been doubted before, but have always been able to prove that I live in the country. I do not drink with students. Private paying customers, yes!
