Foreigner from South America escapes from detention

Postby sublight » Tue Mar 06, 2012 1:23 pm

Authorities are scouring the area and are asking local residents to be on the lookout after a foreigner from South America was discovered to have escaped from a secure facility near Kasai on Monday.

Details on the escapee were sketchy, but reports say he was last seen in formal wear. Residents who think they see the escapee are urged not to try and apprehend him themselves, but rather they should contact the proper authorities immediately.

Japan Times: Tokyo aquarium's penguin still at large, touring rivers
http://www.japantimes.co.jp/text/nn20120306a3.html

Image

A year-old penguin that got away from a Tokyo aquarium remains at large and was last seen swimming in a river near the facility.

The black and white bird was first spotted Saturday floating at the mouth of the Old Edogawa River. The head of a nearby bird park snapped a photo of the runaway and alerted Tokyo Sea Life Park at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Tokyo Sea Life Park has put up posters inside the park and posted a notice on its website seeking tips from the public.

"In the event that you see a penguin on the loose, please let us know and don't run after it or try to catch it," the park said in the release.

Brazilians have the right idea when it comes to those vans... Fire bomb 'em! (Yeah, actually happened but I can't find the story anymore.)

No what scares me is the constant rise of neighbourghood watch vigilante in their fake panda cars with blue beacon on top, patrolling at night thinking road and traffic law don't apply to them and they can drive 20kph in the middle of the road on a 60kph zone or stop wherever they want to check things they have no business to look upon.

To be honest, what scares me most is that I don't know if I might snap or not and open a can of whoopass on them. Which would not be too difficult even for me since those tards are generally a geriatric duo reaching 140 years of combined age and asshattery... In fact it's the same phear as with bosozoku, ricers and BMW drivers... When those piece of shit try to act tough bad J-movie style it instantly drive me up the wall. The combination of loud RRRRR based voice and poser attitude act like a sparkle on the Hindenbourg... Their shit might scare grandma... but I survived taking the subway at 2 am in the center of Paris... Bad acting don't work with me...

There have been some firebombings and assassinations over the years so I wouldn't totally discount them.

I bet some of them were already grandparents when Perry and Greji first arrived. Might not mean much if they have a weapon but unless you really get under their skin (SDH, I 'm looking at you :p ) I'd find it hard to believe they'de try firebombing/murdering you.

Sheeit. I took a stroll by meself around Saint Denis when all the excitement was happening and took the missus to Pigalle for some raclette, came back drunk but no worries whatsoever.

I wouldn't recommend St. Denis to chokonen though, especially after dark.

Bosozoku and Uyoku are not tough per se (in singular) but it's that mob mentality that gets ya. Plus the fact that after the cops arrive (too late to the party as usual) is there are no witnesses....

Stay Calm and Carry On.

Try the center hub of chatelet les halles...

When vigipirate safety procedure are in effect with nearly 1 cop per passenger, it's ok... But otherwise, it's the crossroad of the train lines from all the slums around Paris...

and my arabic is a little bit rusty...

If a seal a registered as a legal resident eats a penguin registered as a legal resident, is it murder? ;)

Don't you know? Japanese police can't catch anyone who doesn't turn themselves in.. heck, sometimes they can't even do that much (i.e. the Aum cult guy who had to try 3 places before the Koban Keystones decided to "capture" him)

Presumably from now on, Kasai Aquarium will be holding televised annual rehearsals of exercises to re-capture escaped penguins (the penguin being played by one of the employees in a giant papier mache penguin suit).

Japan keepers stand down penguin hunt
AFP | April 12, 2012
TOKYO--
Japanese keepers looking for a penguin on the run in Tokyo have stood down their month-long search but say they hope the bird's impending adulthood will give it away. Staff at Tokyo Sea Life Park said Thursday they are no longer combing riverbanks every day looking for any sign of the creature, which fled captivity in early March.
"Although we believe the penguin is doing OK somewhere in a river near Tokyo Bay, we do't know what else to do after nearly a month of searching," the park's Takashi Sugino...more...

The zoo is downplaying reports that a penguin was denied entry to the penguin exhibit by multiple zookeepers who thought it was a joke. :D
