Any utility to suggest for automatic removal of kanji (2bit characters) and convert them to romaji ? have to move MASSIVE pr0n collection over NFS to an ext4 filesystem... and it's not going all too well...

way too many to do this by hand...

(osx based software preferred but anything will do)

I got it cause I thought it would require lots of storage, it turned out I only filled 20% percent of it....... I was way off. My point is, if you need more than 1 terabytes, you have a serious problem. No, not a tech problem but a porn addiction problem........ I think you need some help.......

1T can fill up pretty quick if you're talking HD movies. I've almost filled up my 1T drive just with music stored in lossless files.

You're a tech guy Coligny, you should be able to write a script to do this!

If you get really stuck you could write a script to encapsulate them into uncompressed .zip files as you move them...

I HATE to reinvent the wheel...

Beside... despite switching to CentOS6 I still got me a crash while copying...

The first batch of 100 GB went well... the second crashed at 2/3rd...

Suspecting the realtech driver again... have to do a a bit more testing... next up will be replacing the 650W alim with a 1000W... Then it might be the end of the road for this gigabyte MB... I choosed it because of the 10 sata ports... The twin P3 it replaced was rock solid

FAT32 should work just fine with both, no? You can format a 1TB disk as FAT32 no problem. I know it isn't the perfect solution but it will work and will likely be a whole lot less frustrating.

FUSE+exFAT FTW... unless he's running an ancient version of Mac OS X.
